Happy Halloween

Well, it has been an interesting school year.  First quarter just wrapped up and we are having parent teacher conferences this Thursday.  On Friday, there was a school dance.  I got to dj along with one of the parents.  It was a ton of fun.  I look forward to doing it again later this month   After the dance, the adult crew went out and did some socializing.  We had so much fun.  I found a new favorite drink…. super tastey. Its called sunkist, a shot of UV orange and fill the glass with sprite.   Yummmmm.  I was also attacked by a ninja at the bar though.  It was a little disturbing, but plenty of fun

Ladies’ Day

My name was drawn from Annie’s and it turns out, I won a trip to the spa for my friends and I.  The day started like any other day, frantically doing all your errands and getting ready so you won’t be late. I had to get the car full of gas and then washed. Drove by Kim’s house and she and her kid dove in the car and we’re off.  Run the widhalm household to pick up Andrea who was such a sweet heart to babysit for my sister.  Then we’re off again, but this time for real….. we are headed clear out to west Omaha. We had a lady lunch at Annie’s.  It was very nice and tasty. We then ran Lisa home.  Lisa went in the kitchen and gave her the run down on Beth (my OH MY GOSH adorable niece). Kim Blake and I played with little Bethy for a while. We left Andrea and Beth at Lisa’s and were off to the spa. We are driving around trying to find this spa (thank God I had my phone with the address in it) my phone GPS takes me into some random neighborhood….. we are all trying to convince ourselves that this is some weird back way into a strip mall or something.  Turn left onto Arbor Circle …….. your destination is on your left. Those were the fatal words that doomed us to spending the afternoon in this lady’s house. We pulled up and Lisa and Kim were both lookin pretty shaky and not to convinced that we shouldn’t just flip a uy and leave, say we could find it, but before I could put the car in reverse she came and opened the door to welcome us into her home. We all went in reluctantly and did as we were told. It was a fun afternoon it was a sales pitch to buy this product that she sells. We continued to joke around and everything so it really wasn’t to bad. It was good to get together with so many people that I love.  I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.  We could have done with out the spa retreat.  But other than that, it was a blast. Hope everybody else is enjoying the last remnants of summer.

Over the River

And through the woods…. to grandmothers house we go…… well we went.  Mom, Dad, Lisa, Beth and I all made it up to visit Grandma Wilcox in Elk Point today.  It was a good thing.  I hadn’t talk to her in 2 years due to a wedding pho pah… Any who, bridges rebuilt and it was a good trip.  Hope all is well out there.

Ali the Critic

Tim is putting the finishing touches on the bedroom as I type.  We are working on a dust allergy that has gotten fairly bad in the past year and more severe this summer.  We have spent a lot of time at the movie theater lately.  We went to see Despicable Me.  I have to say, I highly recommend it and it is the best movie I have seen in a long time.  Thursday night we got to go see Inception and it was also an acceptable movie, I was a little miffed with the ending, but that’s a brain teaser movie.  Tim and I just got back from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.  It was a very good movie but I do think that David’s love interest was all too excepting of the fact that his is a sorcerer.  I think it probably would have been a bit more shocking.  All in all, all three movies exceeded my expectation and I would recommend all of them, though Despicable Me was my favorite. Summer Time

It is summer time and I have decided that posting on the blog does not have to be a big deal and can easily be done in just a couple minutes.  Don’t expect to see to many pictures as I have no idea how to do it.  I am preparing to be a middle school math and science teacher this summer and let me tell you, it is a little more intimidating than I thought.  Also, I have found out that I have a severe dust allergy that has gotten worse lately.  Tim and I are working to try and figure out how to manage it so wish us luck on that…..  On a happier note, I am going to try really hard to get on here at least a bit more regularly so that everyone out there in the great wide world can keep up with the going ons at the Jensen house hold.
